Arthur Conley granted Sam Cooke the credits for Sweet Soul Music but his name was left out of the lyrics, a limited enumeration of soul music greats. Wilson Pickett's name was in, plus he was Arthur's discoverer. The intro of Arthur Conley's hit borrowed the theme of western The Magnificent Seven, written and first recorded by Elmer Bernstein in '61 (see there). There was no such introduction in Yeah Man.
