On Polyphonies Vocales Des Aborigènes De Taïwan. Both singers, a farming Ami couple from the south of Taiwan, were in Paris as part of a cultural exchange program when their performance was recorded by the Maison des Cultures du Monde. The Amis are just one of many aboriginal ethnic groups on the island, living along a matrilinial kinship system.

Covers:

1994:

Enigma [main sample in Return To Innocence, their second biggest hit after Sadeness; while the drum beat was lifted from Led Zeppelin's When The Levee Breaks; this performance was used as official themesong for the Atlanta Olympics in 1996]

Following the Enigma success, Belgian producer Dan Lacksman re-used that same Ami couple's chant for a new recording on a more laid-back beat (Rock Records Japan in '98). Legal action made sure Difang & Igay Duana obtained their rightful share in all procedings.
